Feuerstein Training Courses

Basic

The BASIC Version of Feuerstein’s Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) targets the enhancement and enrichment of the younger child's cognitive abilities and can also be used with older individuals. This version is based on the same theories of cognitive modifiability and mediated learning that have made the (FIE) program so successful. Both the process of learning as well as critical concepts are presented in these tools. The training is offered in two levels, five full days for each one.

Basic 1 provides the implementer with training in Organization of Dots (Basic), Compare and Discover the Absurd, Orientation in Space (Basic), Unit to Group, and Identify Emotions.

Basic 2 training includes Compare and Find the Absurd 2, Empathy to Action, Think and Learn to Prevent Violence, TriChannel Attentional Learning, and Know and Identify.

Standard

Feuerstein STANDARD training is for those teachers, counselors, or parents working with ages 10 through adult. With 14 tools at your fingertips, you have the opportunity to mediate for 28 cognitive strategies, metacognition, and flexible thinking. There are three levels of training, each one is five full days.

Standard 1 includes Organization of Dots, Comparisons, Analytic Perception, and Orientation in Space. The foundational theories of Structural Cognitive Modifiability, Mediated Learning Experience, Cognitive Map, and the Goals of Instrumental Enrichment are also covered and reviewed in Levels 2 and 3.

Standard 2 provides training in the mediation of Categorization, Illustrations, Family Relations, Temporal (Time) Relations, and Instructions. These tools help students and adults with important academic and job skills.

Standard 3 offers Orientation in Space II, Numerical Progressions, Transitive Relations, Syllogisms, and Representational Stencil Design. These five tools are cognitively challenging and help create new neural networks for life and learning.

Tactile/Kinesthetic

Tactile/Kinesthetic I.E. is a unique experience that requires the trainee to have completed Standard 1 or Basic 1 training. With that background, Tactile provides an incredible method for helping the ADHD learner or the person who struggles with visualization while reading. It is also appropriate for visually impaired learners.

LPAD (Learning Propensity Assessment Device)

LPAD (Learning Propensity Assessment Device) is training or those interested in using a dynamic tool to assess a learner's potential for learning. It uses psychological tools, but in a dynamic way. How much and what kind of mediation is required by the mediator (assessor) to elicit change in the learner is one of the important questions answered by this ingenious method. It is offered in Standard and Basic Levels, a full 10 days for each one.
